Mission Statement

"Willows Unified School District will strive to provide a safe, enriched, student-centered learning environment where each student can realize his/her full academic potential, develop respect and tolerance for self and others and become an involved, responsible citizen."

We are dedicated to maximizing the expertise and human potential of every teacher because we recognize that an exemplary staff, working with parents as partners, is the key to student development.


General Information

The Willows Unified School District serves the greater south central area of Glenn County.  The District was formed in 1966, bringing together five small school districts with the goal of providing more and better educational opportunities for students in this area.

Willows Unified School District test scores have consistently been in the range of 700-785, and the District takes pride in its high student achievement.  There are no program improvement status schools in the district.  We are proud of our safe, well-maintained and drug free schools.

We currently serve approximately 1750 students and employ approximately 175 teaching, classified, and administrative staff members.  Willows Unified School District serves a diverse population, with 50% Anglo, 33% Latino, 9% Asian, and 3% Native American.  Other ethnicities represented include Filipino and Middle Eastern Students.

Our schools provide other educational opportunities outside the classroom including athletics, music, associated student body and Future Farmers of America (FFA).
